The NHER now has over 1600 member organisations. These include housing associations, local authorities, builders, architects and educational institutions. It supports, informs and guides its members in their business of home energy ratings.

The scheme recognises individuals' requirements. Therefore we offer four categories of membership.

Full Membership
This enables an organisation to:

• register their employees as NHER Assessors
• purchase and use all NHER programs
• issue quality assured SAP and NHER ratings.

NHER Assessors are approved by the Secretary of State for the Environment as competent to deliver SAP ratings for Building Regulations purposes.

Streamlined Membership
This is for organisations that wish to:

• use the NHER rating system for information or promotional purposes but do not wish to issue ratings,
• register an NHER Assessor
• use the main NHER software. Some NHER software can be used by Streamlined Members.

Research Membership
This category of membership is for educational establishments who wish to make use of NHER software solely for the purpose of education.

Please note certificates cannot be issued under this membership.

Corporate Membership
This is for organisations who wish to be involved with the NHER, receive newsletters and keep up to date with the NHER but who do not wish to have properties rated or make use of NHER ratings in any way.
